Originally this was a way for readers to comment on the serialized story as it shaped up, rather than limit comments to specific posts. Even though the site is changing a bit, I see no reason to plunge this stuff into digital depths just yet.
All of my non-fiction posts are open for comments, but you can comment generally on the site, my fiction, etc here and refer and/or link to specific posts as you see fit.
A brave soul…good luck to you, friend.
Just beginning to read… Will keep going so long as it holds me. If I catch up with real time at some stage I’ll let you know, and then you’ll know at least one person out there thinks it’s all worthwhile. Unless I never do…
I’m curious to know how you came up with the name Luke Bettis? To be honest– it’s not all that common of a name. The reason I’m asking is because my name is Luke Bettis. And reading these stories, is a little weird for me.
Luke,
Thanks for reading.
As for the name, I just made it up. I usually start with characters and then start thinking of names. I try to rely solely on whatever comes into my head. I don’t use baby naming books, phone books, Google, or anything like that. I do sometimes intentionally refer to places and characters from legend or literature (for example, Luke is biblical) or try some form of word play (Loof). Most of all, I like all of the names in this story to sound like names people might have in the ‘real’ world. You are proof that I’m on the right track in that department.
Thanks again,
Dan
Hi Dan,
Mr. Sneed reminds me of someone…hmmm.…well we’ll leave that as it is. Laura Rose told me to Google your name and low and behold here we are. I’ll be reading more. This is very engaging…you know I like a good mystery!
I thought an update was in order. I’m currently half way through and still reading once or twice a week. So I do think it’s worthwhile, and I’m glad you started up again after a break recently… keep going!
Hey, I think I know you. Impressive work here. I may go back to the beginning and eventually try to catch up too.
Considering how much work is involved in the setting up of this site and the writing of the story you really don’t market much do you?
